Creative Visualization Is The Power Behind Every Goal and Successful Outcome

If you are like most of us, you have cherished a secret dream to be a star in the movies, shoot your own film, hang out with the jet set and appear in the Academy Award Ceremonies.

There is no satisfaction quite like creating your own dreams in real life and sharing them with the world.

Most likely, you got reasonable and listened to your parents, teachers and friends solemnly advise you to go get a real job and play with cameras as a hobby. You may never given it a second thought as to all you have missed out on. Until now.

What Is Visualization?

Visualization is the process of creating pictures of what is not directly before you, either while dreaming at night, or during the day, closing your eyes or engaging in a creative activity.

Some of us find this extremely easy to do, such as those with eidetic memory. Those people can glance at a page, capture every word, close their eyes and repeat the text perfectly.

Used By Remarkable Achievers

Some of us, such as myself, are a whole lot more verbal. Often, when I close my eyes, I draw a total blank, unless I am very tired and about to fall asleep.

dream visualization

In my early years, I didn’t often remember my dreams, and when I did, they were typically in black-and-white.

In later years, I have had dreams in color, which I often remember shortly after awakening. I have even had lucid dreams, when I knew I was dreaming and played a role in the course of the dream.

All of us who can see respond to visual images in some form. Every word that we speak is based upon a picture, which is correlated with daily life.

We build our basic vocabulary from these collections of images, which eventually becomes more and more abstract. Even the word, “idea,” connotes an image. For us, as humans, our words and our ideas are intimately linked with our visual sense.

Creative Visualization: Designing Your Own Life

The human potential movement has focused upon empowering people to transform their lives. Visualization has been increasingly recognized as a powerful tool in conjunction with affirmations to evoke belief (as well as emotion) in a positive outcome.

Words, by themselves, become much more effective when integrated with graphics, pictures and video, as well as the voice and music.

Napoleon Hill, in Think and Grow Rich, counseled his readers to employ self-suggestion on a daily basis to realize their dreams.

It is important that you SAY, SEE (in your mind’s eye) and FEEL your affirmation, keeping it always in the present tense.

When the book first came out during the great depression, people had to employ their imagination as best they could to see what had not already happened.

Shakti Gawain, in her classic, Creative Visualization, helped people to make this process more systematic. At that point, vision boards came into vogue. You would take a pile of magazines with crayons and glue. You would cut out the images that appealed to you and paste them on a poster board, coloring in affirmative statements.

Collage as an art form grew to the point where fine artists now create collage combined with oils to produce master works commanding a high price.

The problem with this whole process is that people use magazines less, and it is awkward, cumbersome and, frankly, messy. Today, the emergence of digital media and computers has changed everything.

From Dream Board to Mind Movies

In the last decade, we have witnessed the movie / book phenomenon, The Secret, set the stage for a whole new industry of people teaching the rest of us how to actually apply the Law of Attraction.

An innovative couple from Australia, Nick and Natalie, experimented with affirmations and dream boards and came up with a compelling idea. Why not make movies with affirmations on a computer that anyone could download and play back whenever they wanted?

This was 10 years ago, and, at the time, graphics, photos and video weren’t nearly as easy to capture and manipulate on a computer as they are today.

They struggled with the mechanics of it, wanting to make it work, not only for themselves, but also for everyone, delivering movies over the Internet. Nick, in particular, felt that sound and music would make the images much more powerful in evoking the desired emotion.

Your emotion is the secret sauce to your success, because the feeling behind your goal is what stimulates your brain to always move you towards it.

The couple finally perfected the system, offering Mind Movies to over two million people. At first, they created them just for themselves and their friends.

When the demand persisted, they saw a global potential. Their online software is so easy to use that a little boy or girl with minimal reading skills could create his or her own movie.

Now, you can turn your own desired goal into a movie and watch it every day by triggering most of your important senses… seeing, hearing and experiencing it while evoking the core emotion (feeling) that will put your brain to work (subconsciously) in getting it done.

Why Creating Your Own Movie Can Be So Much More Powerful

While you can read and playback much inspirational content in books and the Internet, you are not authoring them, and they are not tailor-made to your own unique vision, sensibilities and objectives.

The affirmations may be inappropriate, the images not quite match what you had in mind and the music may not do it for you.

Now, with Mind Movies, you can go online and get your very own dashboard that puts you in the position of director. The whole crew of talent is built in. You can import your own images and videos from Facebook, YouTube and your desktop.

Everything is supplied for you: sound tracks, thematically clustered pictures, provocative videos and appropriate affirmations.

The entire process is a matter of point, click and drop onto the built-in timeline. The software will then generate the complete and custom video for you in a couple of minutes for instant playback.

With Mind Movies, you can play them back wherever and whenever you want, whether desktop, laptop, table, smart phone or digital TV. You can send them to your family or friends over the Internet, and you can publish them in Facebook or YouTube.

visualization manifestation technique

It’s so easy and it takes so little time in creating your own unique masterpiece. The finished production runs less than five minutes and is ideal to watch upon arising in the morning and before sleeping at night.

Each time you watch, you are programming your subconscious mind to embrace a new reality. Through the force of pure repetition, these dreams of yours will have a way of spontaneously emerging in real life.

Yes, You Can!

You might still wonder if this is a gimmick. Does visualization really work? Decades ago, I lived in a studio in San Francisco, severely challenged financially. I began studying Napoleon Hill’s work and built myself a dream board. One thing led to another.

My heart and mind opened up. While I wasn’t doing anything that much different, various opportunities and money began flowing into my life with a minimum of effort. I even lost 40 pounds in the process. I ended up living on the water in a gorgeous apartment in Marin with beautiful Mount Tamalpais in my picture window.

If I had access to Mind Movies back then, in either San Francisco or Marin, I can just imagine where I would be now.

We all need to be reminded of our goals and dreams daily… because there are plenty of obstacles in our lives that distract us and get us off course.

As soon as you take your mind off of your goal, your brain stops working on it because it perceives that it’s no longer a priority.

Visualization is foundational to prosperity consciousness. Repetition with positive affirmations and a flush of emotion are essential to embedding a dream within your subconscious mind where Infinite Intelligence can begin to manifest it in your reality.

The tools for visualization have been continuously refined, and the entire process has been made fun and playful, thanks to the initiative and vision of Nick, Natalie and Bob Proctor.

Lights! Camera! Action!!!

I invite you to join us in creating and playing your own Goal Movies daily.
