Femininity: How to Outsmart Men

This is a man's world,

This is a man's world,

But it wouldn't be nothing,

Nothing without a woman or a girl.

~ The Incomparable James Brown

You may have gotten all caught up in the corporate world of suits, noticing that women on top were doing their utmost to behave just like men to gain credibility and hold onto their tenuous status.

While women can go for any career that a man does, they still face noticeable economic disparities. They are hard-pressed to compete in anything resembling “an old boy’s club.” In the U.S., discrimination of any kind is illegal; yet the competition for top jobs is relentless. The glass ceiling has, indeed, been broken, but it always comes with a price.

Occasionally you will see a beautiful, smart woman in a position of power who dresses, thinks and acts like a woman. She is at ease with both other women and herself.

You wonder why she has all the luck, while you have to struggle. You rarely stop to think that she has realized something that you didn’t dare to acknowledge: being a woman is actually powerful advantage, not a disadvantage. It pays to display your wares as a member of the fairer sex.

How Women Have an Unfair Advantage Over Men

Women are inherently more powerful than men. If you look carefully, there is always a power behind the throne, almost certainly a woman.

Women own most of the real estate in the world, not by accident. Men are fanatics at playing games, but women are many times more sensitive, and vastly more gifted at the art of being.

In today’s increasingly pressured world, a strong presence offers a decisive advantage in business, especially in leadership and sales positions, where your role is to influence others.

While women can be catty with each other, more often women perceive other women as less of a threat than men, and men, themselves, see women as less of a threat than other men.

Thus, women win both ways in establishing trust. Since women entered sales, the profession has undergone a transformation. Many shrewd employers, despite anti-discrimination laws, push for women to occupy the key roles.

The Advantage Is Biological, Too

Almost all of us are born into families where the mother is supremely important and synonymous with love, whether a baby boy or a baby girl. The father becomes relevant only much later in infancy.

For millennia, women have had to master the art of nurturing to keep humanity going. Men are almost comical when they attempt the same role.

Napoleon Hill commented in his provocative chapter, “The Mystery of Sex Transmutation,” in Think and Grow Rich, that men are driven by their inherent desire to please women.

After interviewing 500 of the richest men in America, he found that their wives, or the “other woman,” who, in many ways, was inconspicuous, hugely influenced them. Napoleon found out, much to his surprise, that great wealth was useless to most men apart from its ability to impress the woman that they love.

Women typically live longer than men, and, surprisingly, take breakups much better than most men, who often suffer from a delayed emotional reaction.

Think about it. If women failed to do their unique job, the entire human race would go extinct in a single generation!

Why So Few Women Make Use of Their Femininity

Women’s Lib has had the most profound impact of any social movement in history, even uprooting the most traditional cultures, such as those of the Chinese and Arabs.

It resulted in many cases with women being paid on parity with men. Most overt job discrimination has been ended, and the barriers to entry in the highest positions in society, such as Head of State or the Priesthood, were removed.

Sexual liberation, thanks to the pill and widespread birth control, made women socially freer, much more prone to assume risks and take control of their lives.

The U.S. economy fell in real dollars over the past several decades to the point where a two-income family has become a necessity, not an option. A “housewife” has become an endangered species.

The early phase of the women’s movement had men end up afraid of their own sexual shadow, as evidenced by the proliferation in harassment suits.

Even though women by the 1990’s loosened up on their bra-burning stance, the damage had already been done. A deep insecurity has permanently set in with many of the more sensitive men.

Recent generations of women have devalued their femininity in the face of gender equality, and never learned how to be a woman. The earlier generation had finishing schools, and modeling schools were not an object of ridicule. Beauty pageants are still being held, but they are dismissed by substantial parts of the population.

How Femininity Can Transform Your Relationship

This all adds up to a priceless opportunity for you. Femininity is much deeper than what you wear and what makeup you use on your face.

feminine qualities

It is the art of making a man feel like a man. Compliments and deep listening mean a huge amount to men, without which success is quite meaningless.

You, as a woman, have an intuitive sense of what a man is all about, what he is up to in life and how he can go out and make a difference. You see a man’s psyche better than the man does, himself.

You, as a woman, are vastly more sensitive than the most sensitive male. Smart men own some of their own androgynous femininity, but it can’t even approach yours.

If you are consciously lavish in your praise and sparse in your criticism, much like a loving mother, you will find men jumping hoops all around you, and loathe to ever give you up to a competing male.

And let’s make it clear… we just touched on how being feminine in relationships can make a big difference. We did not even begin talking about femininity in the workplace. That is another can of warms… we may “open” and discuss in the future.

Where Should You Begin?

The easiest single thing you can do to seize this hidden advantage is to practice deep listening. Get rid of your own judgments and evaluations of men around you. Just listen to them…profoundly. Notice your constant nagging and negative remarks. It rarely works with men. In fact, it turns them off.

Use your feminine powers to make a point or persuade. Become aware of how you communicate and begin making small tweaks. Do not be afraid to lead with your heart (coming from delicately positive and loving place).

You’ll need to tune in and find the right balance. And practice it daily. At first, it may feel foreign, but stick with it… until you’ll start noticing how men and others around you begin transforming in their behavior as well.

Consider yourself lucky to be a woman. One of the greatest Western European writers, the Shakespeare of Germany, put it this way:

All things of the past

Are only symbols.

The unattainable

Here becomes action.

The indescribable

Here is accomplished.

The Eternal Feminine

Leads us onward.

~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Faust’s Conclusion
